So I’ve decided
I probably won’t be changing Dawn’s name, as much as I’d like to.
It would definitely cause way more trouble than it’s worth.
I still might be changing Cyran’s age though, so don’t be surprised if his character profile suddenly says he’s one or two years older aha

You could claim Dawn’s a nickname as well, her actual not wofl name could be something similar like Diana, or the opposite, like Dusk
Well trying to blend in with other people by having a fake name that hides your fake name that hides your real name seems kind of ridiculous aha. Kaen and Elayn gave her a nickname as a sort of term of endearment, but it’d be kind of weird of Dawn giving other people another nickname and try to pass it off as her actual name, especially since the name Dawn is already technically fake.
If I do end up changing her name Dawn’s name I would try to make it something similar.
Shayle was actually originally a redesign of a character I have named Daine, who is the main character of another story I’m working on that I’ll probably end up dropping. I ended up redesigning her so much though she became a completely different character. I probably would’ve kept her name Daine though if it wasn’t so similar to Dawn.
So hey, Daine could be a possible candidate for Dawn’s new fake name???

doesn’t dawn have another name i think? it’s obvious the trust will be built between her and leonard, so maybe at a certain point, she could ask him to call her by that name maybe? i dunno.

So guys, I’m having a bit of a problem.
I want to
retcon some things
in Blonde Sunrise………………
There’s two things in the story I want to change. One of them is Cyran’s age, which is not a big deal and only something I’m thinking about but might not do. I just want to up it a little bit.
The other thing though is kind of a big deal. I want to retcon Dawn’s name.
And I’m sure it’s pretty obvious why. Naming a character in a story after myself, and one of the two MAIN characters at that, was a terrible idea and I really don’t like the confusion it causes.
However I have no clue what I would even change it to, and it’s not going to be as easy as when I changed Midori’s name to Michelle. Michelle’s name was changed before I had started my comic, and it didn’t take long for everyone to adjust to her new name.
Changing Dawn’s name on the other hand would cause all kinds of havoc. She’s already been established as Dawn in the story, and as far as I’m aware of she’s also the most popular character. It wouldn’t be as simple to adjust to as Michelle’s name, even if I hadn’t started my comic yet.
I really don’t like the confusion Dawn’s name has already caused and I really want to change it, but I think it may be too late to fix. It’s still fairly early in the plot though, so if I do decide to retcon her name I would have to do it pretty soon.
So I want to know your thoughts on this. Do you guys think I should change Dawn’s name to stop the confusion between me and her, or would it not be worth it due to the confusion a name change would cause?

Celes is one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters, however the last time I even tried to draw her was 5 years ago.

I am trying to draw a Dissidia styled drawing of Celes Chere from Final Fantasy VI in 3 different outfits.
If this goes well I plan to try and draw more Dissidia pictures of other Final Fantasy characters who aren’t in Dissidia.
So far I think it’s already going a lot better than my last two tries.
Hopefully I’ll finish this drawing today!

I’ve decided to remake my height chart from over a year ago!
The art is pretty outdated compared to how I draw now, plus 3/7 of these characters have completely new designs all together! It’s about time for an update.
Here’s a rough sketch for the new one. Some of the poses are being changed. I’m also including Shayle, Grand, plus 5 other characters that haven’t been revealed in the comic yet (one of which I have yet to reveal publicly anywhere!). Characters who haven’t appeared in the comic yet will be blacked out until their debut, even if you guys already know what they look like aha.
My project for the weekend??? MAYBE?????
Also unlike the first height chart this one is showing characters that appear in chapters 1-2. The first one was supposed to show (almost) all the characters that appeared in the first half. There’s still loads more characters to reveal in chapter 3 onwards whoAH!!
